All we can say about Erica and Ross is WOW. Take a walk down memory lane on how these two lovebirds met, and their epic Disney Wedding!
Erica lived next door to Ross’s cousin and we were both helping to chaperone their twin’s birthday party. Ross’s daughter started a popcorn fight with Erica so at our wedding the favor we gave out was flavored popcorn with the story of how we met printed on the bag.
Erica: he was amazing to my then 1-year-old, and with his own kids. Being such an incredible father won me over.
Ross: “She told me so.” Haha! She also makes the best cookies.
He took all three kids (2 his, 1 hers) to pick fake engagement rings from each of them and then proposed at his grandmother’s house so she could be a part of our special day. Ross and all 3 kids got down on one knee and each presented their ring and asked me to marry them. Then he took me to design the ring I wanted at the jewelers.
A local family-owned jewelry store. We are having them also do new rings for our 10-year vow renewal!
12 years, but it feels way longer!
Erica: he makes friends anywhere he goes. Literally, the guy who will give you the shirt off his back, he loves everyone and has the biggest heart.
Ross: her smile, and that she agrees to go on all these crazy adventures. She’s a go big or go home person and lives life to the fullest.
We love traveling! After we sold our first house we couldn’t find a new house we liked to move right into so we bought a motor home on a whim, gutted and remodeled it in 7 days while also packing our entire house into a storage unit, and took off on a summer-long adventure across the US with 2 cats and 3 kids! We booked RV parks/hotels wherever we ended up that day and found all these cool little towns and experiences you would never find traveling by plane. We also love Mexico and were planning to do Italy this year (booooooo coronavirus). Spain, Greece, and New Zealand are on the list also when travel restrictions lift.
At home, we love to host huge local-themed events for Halloween, Christmas, etc (200+ people), do DIY projects together, go to the movies, try new restaurants, and just generally experience as much of life as we can together.
We don’t watch much tv. Sometimes we go down a rabbit hole on Netflix and have enjoyed shows like Designated Survivor, Scandal, NCIS, and Criminal Minds. And of course, I’m embarrassed to say we got sucked into Tiger King for quarantine.
Since this is our vow renewal, a lot of focus is on creating this incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience for both us and our guests. I want them to feel the magic in each part of our day. And my dress. Full-blown princess. Yes, I’m secretly like 5 years old.
