Learn more about their story after their incredible gallery.
Let’s start at the beginning…
Stephanie and Eli first met their freshman year in college here in Orlando, FL in 2012. Eli was starting his degree in Sign Language Interpretation and Stephanie was still evaluating her degree choice while attending school at the University of Central Florida. Their first week of moving to Florida, their friends had talked them into going downtown to celebrate their move. The two bumped into each other while out and the rest is history.
Two years later Eli was diagnosed with a particularly aggressive form of testicular cancer. The couple knew they had a long road ahead, but remained optimistic. With the invaluable support of his family, friends, and of course Stephanie, the rocky road to remissions made Eli realize what was most important to him in life. He knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Stephanie by his side.
On January 15, 2015 Eli was officially in remission and he started planning his proposal. On January 21st Eli took Stephanie on a romantic date downtown to one of their favorite sushi restaurants and then went on a stroll around Lake Eola where they had shared one of their first dates. It was there in the heart of the City Beautiful that he proposed.
We shot their Harry Potter inspired wedding in Downtown Orlando at the Crystal Ballroom back in 2018. They spent the night laughing and dancing amongst their loved ones and at the end rode off on a bicycle built for two down the streets where they first met.
Not knowing if they would be able to have children naturally due to Eli’s earlier prognosis, we are pleased to say the couple will welcome a son this fall. A true blessing and a happy ending for such an incredible couple.
Thanks To all of the vendors who made this day extra special!
